Summary
selected frames from a video showing tactually induced climbing in a stick insect (Carausius morosus). The stick insect walks towards a rung (highlighted in left-most frame), touches it twice with the left antenna and then executes an aimed reaching movement towards it. This initiates the act of climbing. The numbers indicate the time in seconds relative to the first antennal contact with the rung. Video and Figure by Christina Neumann and Volker Dürr, Biological Cybernetics Dept., Bielefeld University, Germany.
